A “Cosy” night of murder mystery whodunnit was served up last weekend at one of Bristol’s most popular dining and lounge venues, The Cosy Club in bustling Corn Street, Bristol.

This relaxing and atmospheric venue welcomed a private Bristol group who were entertained by locally based 1st call murder mystery.

The occasion was the “Last night party in England ” before guests embarked on an exciting Safari to the Valley of the Kings organised by Lady Agatha Plantagenet and her assistant the Rev Titus Jennings.

Before the venues staff could serve all the sumptuous food there was a murder or two but fortunately with “much” help from the assembled guests the culprit was eventually caught by P.C Bailey.

Guests were taken back in time to the swinging sixties with 1st call murder mysteries 1960s spy scenario.

There can be no doubt that the guests savoured the delicious menu of murder at this characterful award winning Cotswold venue.

Murder Mystery Somerset – Serious Sleuthing on Safari in Somerset

Murder Mystery Somerset – The popular Somerset venue The Windmill Club at Edithmead Leisure played host to an exciting evening of murder mystery and intrigue on the weekend.
1st call murder mystery transported the invited super sleuth guests back in time to 1937 for the “Last night party in England” before setting sail “On Safari” .
The party started well with guests enjoying the company of the trips VIP guests including the famous explorer/archaeologist Lady Agatha Plantagenet, crime writer Eric Marrowbone and American millionaires
Mary Belle Divine.
Behind the smiles and frivolity, however,  all was not well and two of the VIP guests met a ghastly death and all before the desserts!
Fortunately PC Bailey was on held to lead the investigating proceedings and eventually with much help from the super sleuth guests was able to identify and apprehend the murderer in the party.
1st call murder mystery return to this popular Somerset venue in February to serve up another delicious, “Menu of Murder.”

“The greater good” Stately Murder Mystery Frome Somerset

The Somerset Victorian stately home of Orchardleigh House formed the perfect backdrop for a weekend of murder mystery and suspense provided by 1st call murder mystery.

Just a stone’s throw from Frome Somerset this elegant venue played host to the annual parish council meeting and
dinner of West Orchardleigh 1937, but this was never going to be an uneventful dinner!

The sleepy village had been in turmoil since the sudden and unexplained death of the widow Rose Stimper.

She had left a large sum of money in her will and had given strict instructions that at the dinner the village should decide how best to use the money,” for the good of the village. ” Various notable members of the community put their ideas forward including the local vicar and country squire but it was soon apparent that one of the assembled guests would do anything to get the money, even murder! Indeed by the end of the night, there had been two terrible deaths.

Eventually, the villain was apprehended by P.C Bailey enabling guests to travel home safely and return “If they dare ” to the next 1st call murder mystery at Orchardleigh House on the 13th July.

Penarth Road, in Cardiff, might not sound like a regular setting for the Annual Oscars awards ceremony, but it was last Thursday night! The HSH motor company (Honda) had completed the major renovation to their impressive showroom and wanted to thank their VIP customers with a fun and exciting evening of entertainment.

They booked the ‘1st Call Entertainment’ s – Murder Mystery’ team to transport their guests back in time, to an Oscars awards night in 1937.

Everyone who was anyone in the film industry was in attendance. Including the famous motion picture producer and owner Marjorie-Gae Millington, her dynamic director, Barton Hayes, and their latest star in the making, the dashing James Stonnington Smythe, to name just a few!

Unfortunately, there was a ghastly death before the first award could be given out and then another before the delicious desserts were served! Luckily the local constable, PC Bailey, was on hand for crowd control and was eventually able to apprehend the villain amongst the party and save the day.

Other popular murder mystery haunts include the piano bar and bistro in Bristol’s prestigious Hippodrome theatre, The Clifton Pavilion which is part of Bristol’s famous zoo, and We the Curious a truly amazing hands-on science centre.

Without doubt one of the most popular “nights out” is a themed evening and right at the top of the list currently is a murder mystery!

Murder mysteries have been performed in the UK for almost 38 years now and members of local based
1st Call Entertainment’s team were only the second ever to present a murder mystery.

Most recently they performed a “delicious menu of murder” at the popular Bristol North Doubletree by Hilton Hotel.

Guests were invited to travel back in time to stylish 1937 to attend the annual school reunion of Mopton Brayside. Most of the school’s teachers were on hand to welcome pupils old and new including the Headmaster Sir Arthur Poole, Miss Jennie Birch the music tutor, Mr John Meadows the drama teacher and Nell Stadders the gym mistress.

Unfortunately not all of them survived to the end of the meal. One or two of them got their just desserts!

Murder Mystery Mayhem at the Bristol Hippodrome

1st Call Murder Mystery presented more murder mystery and mayhem this weekend at the Hippodrome’s every popular Piano Bar and Bistro.
Guests were transported back in time to June 1953 to celebrate the new young queen (Queen Elizabeth 11)coronation !

The near forgotten village of Prinkton- on- Sea held a special parish council dinner/meeting todecide how best to commemorate the new Queen’s
Coronation.

All of the parish council’s committee members were in attendance including, Lady Helen Honour Gussey, Mr Roland Mimms, Captain of St Joseph’s bell ringers, Gloria Brookes, landlady of the “Olde Stump Inn (public house) and Peter Perrymayne ,the local builder and landscape Gardner.

Unfortunately little seemed to follow the planned parish council’s “Agenda” and before the night was through there had been three
gruesome murders !

P.C Bailey and Inspector Bottom, with much help from the guests finally managed to put all the pieces of the jigsaw together and work out, whodunnit how and why!

The local villagers of Prinkton-on-Sea were then able to safely make their way home.

1st call Murder Mystery can be seen again at the Hippodrome’s piano bar and bistro on the 25th and 26th August.

1st call murder mystery were on a “winning formula ” recently when they performed their interactive murder mystery for a corporate client at a popular hotel in Gloucester. The client wanted a fun and innovative entertainment to follow their day at the famous, Cheltenham gold cup races. It was a safe bet having a murder mystery gloucester evening as guests were delighted with the exciting evening of pleasent acting and gruesome tales!

Last weekend 1st call murder mystery returned to one of it’s most popular and requested locations in the South West for murder mystery, Bath.
